KAILASH (SUMERU) PARBAT. From the advent of Hindu religion for the last 5000 years, it is believed that the sacred rivers originate from the center of the universe, which is Kailash and Mansarovar. Kailash also known as Sumeru Parbat is the home of Lord Shiva. Indus, Satluj, Ganges, Karnali and Brahmaputra rivers originate from this holy spot. The fact that Mt. Kailash is important not only for Hindus but also for Buddhists, Jains, and Sai Baba followers gives high significance to this holy land.

Kailash Parbat 23,080 Ft. from the sea level is a rock pyramid with Snow Cap and is located in rich scenic area of Western Tibet. It lies between the Himalayan ranges, Karakorum ranges and Naga Parbat - the three great mountain ranges of Asia. From here one can see into Afghanistan, Pakistan, Hindustan (India) & Nepal. Often referred to as the Mountain of Swastika, an ancient sign of good luck; it is considered most auspicious to make a religious pilgrimage around the 52 km circuit. In fact, the entire region of Kailash is of important religious significance that includes the two turquoise-blue pristine high lakes of Mansarovar and Rakshes Tal. Mt. Kailash also offers many opportunities for nature lovers as large numbers of unusual species of birds, wildlife and flora-fauna can be found here. This holy region is a symbol of creation of the universe, attracting scholars and researchers worldwide.
